Time Trade is built on the principle of transparency. As a family management app, we understand the importance of protecting your family's data. We collect only what is necessary to help your kids develop healthy earning, saving, and spending habits while giving you visibility and control over screen time.

Use of Apple Family Controls API

Time Trade utilizes the Apple FamilyControls, ManagedSettings, and DeviceActivity frameworks to provide its services.

  • Authorization: The app requires explicit authorization from a parent or legal guardian via the child's device using Apple's secure authentication (Face ID, Touch ID, or Passcode).
  • Local Enforcement: App blocking and screen time restrictions are enforced locally on the device by iOS. Time Trade does not have access to, nor do we record, the content of any communications, browser history, or keystrokes.
  • Usage Reports: We receive aggregate usage data (minutes spent in specific app categories) to calculate earned points and enforce daily limits. Individual app names are only visible to the parent and are never shared with our servers in an identifiable way unless specifically selected for individual blocking.

  • Parent Account: Name and email address for account management and synchronization.
  • Child Profiles: Nicknames and birth dates (used to calibrate developmentally appropriate brain teasers and milestones).
  • Chore & Reward Data: Custom chores, point values, and rewards you create for your family.
  • Technical Data: Device model and OS version to ensure compatibility with Screen Time features.

Data Sharing & Security

We do not sell your data. We do not share your family's usage habits with third-party advertisers or data brokers. All data transferred between the device and our secure cloud server is encrypted using industry-standard SSL/TLS protocols.

Data Deletion

Parents have full control. You can delete your account and all associated child profiles at any time directly within the app settings. This action permanently removes all records from our database.
